Happy Halloween Week! Yup, we are approaching the end of October. Has this year been flying by? Sometimes it creeps and then before I knew it, it is the end of October. But, back to Halloween. Do any of you celebrate this very strange event? It really isn't a holiday. I must admit that Halloween isn't all that special to me. I do not have fond memories of trick or treating which may be why I don't really enjoy Halloween. I don't even give out candy any more. I know most of you don't live in a neighborhood that can give out candy, but you ought to come to my house and see all the cars. It is VERY crazy. All those kids do not live in my neighborhood, where are they coming from???!! I can easily see over 100 kids in an hour and a half. I usually have to turn off the light before the deadline. Crazy!!
I stopped giving out candy when my kids went to college and couldn't do it for me. Oh, by the way, I really hate old kids trick or treating. My children had to stop once they were out of grade school (the fifth grade). But I also hate the babies. Do those parents really think that we believe their child is going to eat that candy!! So, what actually is Halloween. Dressing up? Candy? Parties? Does anyone really know what we are celebrating?
So, tell me your plans for Wednesday night. Mine are simple...leave my light off, enjoy dinner at home, probably grade some papers, watch a little TV, and go to bed. Very exciting! What do you have planned? You better not be trick or treating!! Leave that to the kids. Have a marvelous week...should I bring candy on Wednesday???

I never really liked Halloween either. I could never wear my costume how I wanted because my mom would make me wear a coat. I never really got that much candy either. This year I think I am going to Neil's to pass out candy and then a bunch of us are going to the movies to see a movie. Hopefully saw 4. I really want to see it. I think Halloween should be about getting scared so thats why I am going to see a scary movie..I love them!
Yeah.. i stopped trick-or-treating after like 4th grade.
i prolly wont do anything Wed. night. nothing special. Halloween i think is just one day out of the year that little kids get to use their imagination and be what they want to be.
On the other hand.. ive always seen it, since i was little, as celebrating satans birthday. like christmas is Gods birthday. i dunno where i got that or if its true but ive kind of always thought that.
ok mrs.chambers i am going trick-or-treating because i'm taking the little girls i babysit for their 2 and 4. I personally don't do it myself. But that is what i'm doing wednesday. I think that halloween is just about having fun and using your imagination.
I didn't ever really get into Halloween. Never was a candy person, so I never cared. But you could definitely bring in candy Wednesday!

Halloween is like my favorite holiday i dont really know why but i just think the whole idea of it is cool but another reason why is because i almost died on halloween when i was 5 my spleen almost exploded and all that jazz so yea i have bad memories that make me think about it all the time. so i dont know.
Chambdawg!! I'm comin trick or treatin at your house. You can just gimme leftovers of dinner or something. Actually I'm doing nothing, I'm just going home and hanging out.

Well I think Halloween is a great holiday for kids. Its something for them to look forward to. Halloween when I was a kid was so fun and it sucks that I will never be able to trick or treat again
well this year was the first year since 5th grade that i went trick or treating, sorry Mrs Chambers. but it was kinda fun, i felt dumb the whole time, but i was kinda peer preasured into it. You woulda like my costume tho it was a good one.
I hate Halloween it seems like such a waste of a day. There are so many other better things we could celebrate, instead of it. And doesn't it kind of violate the moral of not taking candy from strangers? Honestly even if you do go with your parents, how well do they know them? They could be a terrorist for all we know and try to tamper with the candy to hurt alot of people. Just sayin we could celebrate something alot nicer then Halloween.
I went last night with boe, and we made AJ go with us. We even checked for the child molester homes so we wouldn't get raped or something. There are some pretty weird characters out and about this area mrs. c!

mrs chambers!! halloween is the BEST. i went last night and got lots of good candy. haha.
i live in fairfield, and more kids were walking around than i thought.
not really busy though, not even in jasper.
halloween originated in Ireland, that's all i know. i don't really think it celebrates anything, quite frankly, i'm just happy that there's a day that you can dress up in a fun way and get free candy. haha.

I didnt go trick-or-treating this year! Next year me and my bff Meghan Noell are going as well we dont know yet!! But it is going to be awesome!! I cant wait only like 365 more days!!
Seeing as how it is past wednesday now I will just tell you what I did. First I got home from football practice at 6ish and then Chris Wily called and wanted to play a game. Then when he left I talked on the phone and did my homework and then went to bed at about 11:30 or midnight.
I think this year has gone by really slow. I love Halloween, I don't dress up, or hand out candy, but I usually walk around with some little kid who does. I like it because I get to see all the different costumes. I really like the ones that people make themselves. Those are the best.
Mrs. Chambers, i really wanted to go trick or treating just so i could get candy, but i just went to wal-mart and bought some instead.
I haven't trick-or-treated since elementary. I didn't do anything that I can remember except for working. It was quite easy too, everyone was busy so I did nothing :).
