The home stretch

Well, not for most of us, but a for a few, it is the "home stretch." Why is it that the year seems to drag on and on and then all of a sudden it is over. For a few of you anyway. I was calculating weeks this weekend and realized that the seniors have two more weeks, but we have around six. How can that be?? I suppose it is really five and a half, but it still seems like way too many. Anyone, besides me, feel like the seniors get out a bit early. Adrian High School changed their graduation date a few years back to coincide better with our later day of ending school. But, not Sand Creek! So, be happy you seniors, who knows what another year will bring. Truthfully, I don't think that they will change graduation from Memorial Day weekend. Somethings around here just never change, even some things that should be changing.

Another fabulous weekend, don't you think? How was prom, for those that went? It seemed like most were having a great time while I was there. I really don't have fond memories of my prom and actually don't care for the entire event. But I know that you guys (well actually the gals) really enjoy the whole thing. But is it the preparation and excitement or the actual event that you enjoy? As an adult, it just seems like a lot of money spent. I sure hope you all had fun. We could use some pictures for the web page, if you have any.

It was stated on Channel One last week that blogging can make you smarter. It is a creative outlet for the blogger. That was my intention when I started this. I feel that perhaps we have failed in our blogging. I don't see anyone really blogging, unless I have told them they had to. No one has invited people to look at our blogs and no one has really blogged at different times than once a week in school. Some haven't even blogged for some time (Kevin!!). Why is it that you guys can write forever on MySpace, but Blogger holds no interest? Perhaps someone should not have mentioned that it can be educationally helpful.

Have another fabulous week and enjoy the springtime. Happy blogging

I think we should leave things the way they are. Only because I graduate next year and I want to get out earlier than everyone else.

I hope that they leave the last school day for seniors the same for next year or i may be a little bit mad. It probably feels really good to get out of school before everyone else.

ive actualy enjoyed blogging for the most part i didn't have a great topic some of the weeks but i thought it was kinda a cool part of the class. it seemed like people all shared the same opionion as me at the begenning of the year. and as the year went on more and more people stopped writing and stopped writing about meaningful topics.

Hey Mrs. Chambers. Even though I thought I wouldn't have that much fun at prom, I had a blast. It went by way to quick. This home strech honestly can't go by quick enough, we have been getting so much work this week and it's only tuesday. Well i guess that's all.

Yea the seniors do leave really early, but that's okay, because I want to leave early next year as well!
Prom was pretty sweet. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, though. I had a good time. You're right Mrs. Chambers, it really is the planning and excitement that is more fun than the prom itself.
Regardless, it was a good night, and I'm excited for next years. : )
I LOVE MYSPACE. But blogger is no fun. Because it's ONLY blogging.

i didnt go to prom, like you it's just not my thing either and it does seem like a lot of money spent which i didnt feel like wasting so instead i worked and hit up after prom. we dont blog all the time on myspace. we dont come up with ideas for blogs. we just comment friends back and forth and or message them. not any different than msn in a way. you just leave a comment. people might blog 1-2 times in a 2 week period IF that.

"Somethings around here just never change, even some things that should be changing"

There are definitely things that need to be changed in this school that are way more important than graduation dates. Consider that half of our students can't write a simple sentence without multiple spelling errors, then look at our English department.

That is dumb Mrs. Chambers. We (seniors) should get out earlier!!! Just because we've already been in school for like 13 years or something..

It's easier to write stuff on myspace cuz our friends are actually guna see it.. And cuz its way more private.. people can google me now and it brings up this blogger site and they can read all my blogs... which is lame and why i'm guna delete them when this class is done.

yeah i agree with fetz. everybody started blogging with detail then everybody got lazy and started just trying to get it credit rather than writing about something with detail. but i thought it was fun

mrs chambers, prom was pretty lame it seems like I got all excited for nothing. I ended up getting a really bad cold and felt sick the whole night. It was fun to get all dresses up but, I guess it is alot of money to spend on just one night.

I think it is something fun for the seniors to look forward to, i think i would give up if we really had 6 more weeks. senior year is the busiest so its nice to have a while to prepare for graduation.

I cant wait to leave I'm very happy that our graduation date is earlier than other schools. The excitement just keeps building until the day us seniors graduate. The wait is almost coming to a close and i'm so excited!

Yeah Mrs. Chambers I can't wait to be a senior next year and get out earlier than everyone else. Plus in a few weeks when the seniors are gone us Juniors are the top dogs in the school.

I like that fact that we get out earlier than the underclass men, and love the fact that we seniors didnt have to make up school closings and delays :) so i like how it is. I think that this school year went by super fast:(! Prom was fun but i liked last years better. The dance floor was bigger and everyone didnt have to worry about not getting a cup or mug. And the tickets had the right theme LAST year. But i had fun.

i dont mind that the seniors get out way earlier than the rest of us because it gives us a taste of what it'll be like next year.

Prom was one of the best nights of my life!! i had so much fun. It was the people i was around though that made it as amazing as it was!! I can't wait till my senior prom! i love the whole thing, planning and participating.

i really dont mind blogging. i think it's one of my favorite things about this class.

I'm glad that we have time left. I'm really not ready to be a senior. Prom was cool. I think i liked getting ready more than the dance itself, but the dance was really fun!!!
